Dr. Cheryl Brus Peterson is a Family Physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Known for her attentive presence and thorough approach, Dr. Brus Peterson offers comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages, with a focus on collaboration and respect in the care process.
Education & Background
Dr. Brus Peterson earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Université de Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 2016. She then completed her Family Medicine residency at the Unité de Médecine de Famille de l’Estrie, followed by advanced training through the Clinician Scholar Program at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke.
As part of her graduate work, she led a research project on the patient experience of young adults in the public healthcare system—an early reflection of her commitment to patient voice and quality of care.
Before entering medicine, Dr. Brus Peterson studied psychology at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec, further grounding her approach in understanding the whole person.
She is fully licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and holds certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).
